To help keep better records of the maintenance of your vehicle(s), feel free to use this template.

Download: Maintenance.xlsx
Requirements: Microsoft Excel 2007 or newer compatible program

Instructions are below.
1. There's two sheets in the document. The first is an example of what a completed sheet will look like. Click the 'Maintenance' tab at the bottom (circled in blue) to get started on your vehicle.

2. You can start adding in your information of the maintenance done so far on your vehicle. Columns are named appropriately for any necessary information. Use the 'Notes' and 'Comments' columns for any other important information. To add additional rows, right-click on the last row of information (circled in black) and click 'Insert'.

3. Once you add in your vehicle's maintenance, you can easily sort through the columns by pressing the arrow (circled in yellow) and clicking 'Sort A to Z' or 'Sort Oldest to Newest' or 'Sort Smallest to Largest'.

4. After entering in your vehicle's maintenance, copy and paste the 'Date' and 'Mileage' (circled in green) into the lower table named 'Schedule'. Be sure to copy and paste the last date and mileage into the right rows (for example, Air Filter in the 'Maintenance' table into Air Filter in the 'Schedule' table).

5. Update the 'Date Interval' and 'Miles Interval' columns (circled in red) in the 'Schedule' Table with what your vehicle requires. The 'Date Interval' column needs to be in days (for example, 3 months = 90 days).

6. You can sort through the 'Date (Next)' and 'Miles (Next)' columns like in step 3. This will give you an easy way of seeing what's the next date or miles that you need to get your vehicle serviced. Be careful not to edit or delete the data in these columns. They should update automatically when you enter in new data.

7. Rinse and repeat for any additional vehicles and you're all set. Feel free to edit any rows or columns that better fit your needs. Make sure you keep copies of all your receipts in a safe location.
